The latest English secret agent franchise starring Colin Firth, Taron Egerton and many other well known actors has a very distinct English Gentleman persona through the Saville row tailored made suits and the eyewear. Staying true to its English roots, the franchise commissioned Cutler & Gross to design and create all the eyewear for the movie.
Cutler & Gross was founded by Graham Cutler and Tony Gross in 1969 and established their first store Knightsbridge, London in 1971. The design of their eyewear was brought to life through Tony’s flamboyance mixed with the meticulous detailed-driven characteristics of Graham. Each piece hand made and has been capturing the eye of the discerning customer for over 50 years now.
The main Kingsman frame is the 0847, a slightly more tailored fit than the traditional 0822 aviator which has grown a cult following. A slight lift in the brow takes away from the original straight/flat top and gives the frame a distinct silhouette.
There are other frames in the collection being the oval rim 9001, a more rectangular frame in the 0935 and a squarer petite frame with a slight cat lift in the 0824. They are offered in both optical and sunglasses and there’s an option to hold most scripts nicely. They come with a specially made leather case and cloth, both detailing the Kingsman logo.
