Sauvage
After decades building Native Sons, designer Tommy O’Gara spent two years developing a second line entirely his own — built around the four centuries of cultural exchange between France and Japan rather than either country alone. He researched it the old-fashioned way, combing Parisian flea markets and paint shops for colour and texture references before a single sketch was drawn.
Every frame is hand-finished in his own Japanese workshop from cellulose acetate, with custom titanium hardware, lacquered detailing and traditional Japanese asanoha (hemp-leaf) patterns worked into the design. Bold, considered, and entirely his own — made by the same hands and the same small team behind everything else he builds.
Part of the wider world of independent eyewear — not necessarily something we carry, but always something we’re happy to talk about.
