Agordo, Italy, since 1971
Maria Pramaor opened her own frame-making workshop in the Dolomites in 1971, at a time when it was almost unheard of for a woman to run a factory in Italy — she staffed it entirely with women. Her husband and later her son Nicola joined the business, which is still family-run today.
Every stage of production — design, titanium shaping, colouring, finishing — happens under one roof in Agordo, using titanium sourced directly from Japan. It’s a rare level of vertical control the founders call “neomadeinitaly.”
Part of the wider world of independent eyewear — not necessarily something we carry, but always something we’re happy to talk about.
