It all began in Finland. I am Elina Varonen, the founder of TrendOptic. My story starts in Finland, where I grew up. My journey to Melbourne took place almost a decade after qualifying as an Optometrist from Metropolia Ammattikorkeakoulu. I established my first store in the heart of Helsinki. My dissatisfaction with what bigger companies offered, led me to build unique collections of bespoke frames and styles. I source eyewear handmade by artisans, with a unique fusion of function and design from hard-to-find makers.
